The original Village Inn Pizza Challenge was my quest beginning in 2007 to eat at all 12 of the VIP locations open at that time. I successfully completed the challenge, documented on the main VIP Challenge page. However, in the years since that time, quite a few VIPs have come, and sadly gone. This page will salute the additional locations through the years since the original challenge.

The to-go cup from 2007 for many years. for some reason the Bethlehem location never made it on that list.

Since that time locations opened (which of course I visited) in West Jefferson, NC

Cornelius, NC

The short-lasting Lakeside VIP

and much more recently Lincolnton NC

Also one big change, due to the widening of I 77 in Statesville, OGVIP1 is no longer with us, closed summer of 2014, then torn down in 2022. Here are some pics of my ceremonial changing of the guard, performed 5/20/2014. I ordered a to-go pizza at the old VIP, ate a couple slices there, then packed it up and drove to the new location where I finished the pizza in the parking lot.
